The Tournament uses standard tournament rules as recommended by NMJL, and uses MJME for any questions. Beginning at 10:00 AM, two sixty minute game sessions (four games per session) are played in the morning and two in the afternoon, giving players scores for 16 games. During breaks and meals there is a 50/50 raffle and a basket raffle; this year there are 15 themed baskets donated by the Sea Gals. Ten door prizes are awarded, one of which is for the first time player with the shortest amount of time playing Mah Jongg (we want to encourage this kind of bravery!). Three cash prizes for the top three scores are awarded. Free parking is available with handicapped parking and access. Players may enroll in receiving MAH JONGG MASTER POINTS if they so indicate. Proceeds from the tournament benefit the various charities sponsored each year by Sea Gals, as well as funding for their annual College Fund for graduating high school seniors each year.
